The Flag of Jupiter

The Flag of Jupiter, designed by J. Alfary, represents the planet Jupiter itself and its four largest moons. 

• Red represents  Jupiter's Great Red Spot and its various red storm bands that rage across its atmosphere. 
• The red star represents Jupiter, while the four white stars orbiting Jupiter represent the four Galilean Moons of Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. 
• The white-red-white band represents the Astroid Belt that separates Jupiter from Mars and the other terrestrial planets. 
• Black represents the vastness of space that separates and unifies the Solar System and the Universe.
